As some of you have noticed, we haven’t been active last month as we were busy travelling for almost a week in Rome before the Easter bank holiday, studying for some finals, and on top of that busy celebrating Mrs Feed The Couple’s birthday! One of our closest friend (S.Kay) decided to invite both of us for a nice and relaxing gourmet dinner at the finest and elegent Michelin-starred restaurant: Hakkasan Mayfair.
Hakkasan first opened its branch in London on 2001, and ever since then the brand has expanded globally including Mumbai, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Doha, Miami, New York, San Francisco, Las Vegas and Shanghai. As you walk into the entrance of Hakkasan, you will definitely notice the classy interior designed by famous Christian Liaigre with relaxing low light ambience.
The selection of menu available will surely allow you to choose an authentic and scrumptious Chinese Cuisine. We decided to settle with the seasonal menu (£68 per person for parties of three or more) that served the following meal:
Small eat Dim sum platter for starters:
– Scallop shumai, har gau, Chinese chive dumpling, duck and yam bean dumpling
– Deep fried calamari
-Roasted chicken in satay sauce
-Stir-fry rib-eye beef and asparagus with lemon grass
-Seasonal Chinese vegetable
-Steamed jasmine rice
-Dessert Chocolate marquise raspberry, cocoa nibs, bitter chocolate
Special thanks to Syafiq, our friend that made this happen!
